I built this one over a few Sundays, mostly while actually cooking, which is the only real test a playlist has to pass.
It starts slow on purpose. The first four songs are for chopping, for the part of cooking that does not need your full attention yet.
Where it turns
Track nine is where it turns, usually right when the onions are done and the pan gets loud enough that you have to decide whether the music keeps up or gets forgotten. Mostly Brazilian from there, a little slower, built for the part of the evening when you are not in a hurry anymore.
A good kitchen playlist does not compete with the kitchen. It just keeps you company in it.
It ends quiet, on purpose, somewhere around the dishes. Fourteen songs, about fifty-eight minutes, one chair pulled out.
